About Susan

Susan B. Marlowe began her journey as an artist at the University of Kentucky; she now lives and paints in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Her work ranges from literal to whimsical representation, from abstract to dream-like visions. Her mixed media paintings are richly textured from delicate to bold color washes.

Susan's fascination with the "bovine divine" spans her entire artistic career, although she does paint other subjects, such as dream dogs and nude studies of the human figure. Whatever her medium or subject, Susan strives to portray her subject's energy and essence with the use of rich color and texture.
